Almost Christmas Time

I am so looking forward to sharing time with my family for the Holidays.
This is the picture we used for the front of our card this year.
Still waiting for those beauties to come in the mail.

Yesterday at my school we had a holiday festival.  My students did so great singing their Chinese New Year songs and showing off their cool dragon masks.  It was a lot of fun. So proud of them.
It was also nice to show Darren, my mom and brother Mike my classroom the the school I teach at.
Anyways, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and looking forward to the Holidays!

Adios Yelapa

It was hard to say goodbye to my favorite  spot in Mexico. Yelapa is amazing. I will miss it dearly through the winter.  I will start planning my next vacation here when I get home.

Our last evening in Yelapa was halloween. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and they even had some halloween table decor. The young children of the town came to us to trick or treat so we gave them all our peso and American coins.  It was a perfect end to our time in Yelapa.

Dia de la playa - Beach Day

Today we spend the day on the beach in the sun. It was a perfect way to spend the day. We also took a walk over to the town and a mini hike up to the waterfall. We did have to cross the river but it was nice that it was low at this time of day. We also ran into the same guy with the same iguana from four years ago. It was a perfect day.

Nuestro Casa - Our House

We knew that staying at La Lagunitas would be amazing, but roughing it just the same. But for an amazing deal of about $56 a night, we'll take it. Here are aome pics of just how cute our little hut with a view is.

Ours is the one in the middle with the curtains open.

Yelapa - Quite possibly the best place on Earth.

Yelapa is special because of many things. Darren and I discovered it on our one year anniversary cruise. We had been walking around Puerto Vallarta and seen pictures about this beautiful place you can only get to by boat. We decided to
take the boat even though we were the only Toirists on the full small boat. We arrived at a beautiful secluded beach that was the perfect place for us to vacation. Hence why we decided to come down for our vacation eaker to spends couple of days here. The first time we were here we saw a little hotel with huts that lined the side of the bay. We knew that was here we needed to stay.
So here we are back at Yelapa staying in our own little hut at La Lagunitas hotel. And although we've seen snakes, crabs, and weird bugs in our hut, it is still   perfect. The view when we woke up in the morning and the sound of waves crashing all night was amazing. I love everything about Yelapa. And if you ever get the chance to come out here I highly recommend it.
